I love you Nepal! I’ve had an amazing time here in Nepal. The sightseeing in Kathmandu was wicked and I had a faboulous time in chitwan.. DEFINITELY do elephant bathing. Everything was really well organized (even if we didn’t know what was going on, it always seemed to run smoothly). Thanks to Krishna for the superb Nepali lessons – she is a fantastic teacher. Thanks also to kshitiz who gave us a great introduction to life in Nepal (and night life in Thamel), as well as sorting all our placements and ensuring we got there safely during all the strikes! Our experience would not have been the same without you! My placement was in Lakeside, Pokhara, at the Himalayan Children Care Home. This is such an AMAZING orphanage. I loved it there so much. God bless Nepal. A fantastic, diverse country which provides everything. The buzz of Kathmandu versus the tranquility of Pokhara and Chitwan. I only had three weeks in Nepal which was far too short. Real Nepal are supportive and helpful. Stay relaxed though if itineraries are ‘’soft’’ and the strikes can throw plans off! For thrills the mountain flight, paragliding at Pokhara and the Bunjee at the last resort are well worth the money. Have fun, it is fantastic!! Ben Tomasetti ( UK)

Our Programs
The main thesis of the Volunteer Program is that you will work on a project that is related to your education or your interests. We do make a special effort to tailor your volunteer experience to suit your interests and abilities. What’s important for us is that you are pleased with your experience. You are therefore more than welcome to come with your desires.
We offer you an opportunity to participate in a variety of educational and community aid programs. This will give you a chance to make an important contribution to the people of Nepal and while doing so gain an in depth experience of the country and its culture, that will stay with you the rest of your life.
The Experience Real Nepal has many programs within varied fields. On the below links you will find detailed information about the different places. If you don’t find a project that suits you or you want to work at a specific program we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.
