My time here in Nepal has been nothing short of amazing. I have meant countless incredible people and have had a truly unforgettable experience. My host family was the most loving group of prople who entertained me, comforted me, and made me fell completely at home. Mt. Makalu, the school at which I worked was really great. The students were adorable and fun and the teachers were very supportive. The staffs were also a huge help in making my first trip to Nepal phenomenal. Everything through Real Nepal has been great. Our homestay was amazing. We could not have asked for a better family: they treated us so well. Mt. Makalu was also a great school that every volunteer should feel honoured to be a part of. Our homestay plus Real Nepal really helped us assimilate into the Nepali lifestyle. Thanks Guys! I love Nepal! Highlights for have been all things elephant in Chitwan, getting out on the lake in Pokhara and all the greak kids in Pokhara at Himalaya Children’s Care Home. Thanks for the great Nepali lessons Sanzita even though all the kids were Tibetan. Advice to other volunteers would be to enjoy thamel for a few days, do Monkey Temple, durbar Square + Patan, then get out of Thamel. Pokhara for me was amazing. As we are running our program totally depending on our volunteer's program fees, all the support we have been providing to the Orphanage homes, Sponsorship and our Children's Resource Center come from our Volunteer's program fees. We are trying very hard to keep our costs down because we realized volunteers are making a big sacrifice and have saved for a long time to come to Nepal. Still there are some expenses that we have to cover that is why we request to our volunteers to pay the program fees.
2 weeks Nepal Volunteer program cost - 299 Pounds
The cost covers:
- Transportation to and from Kathmandu Airport + Welcome dinner
- 2 days orientation on Language, Culture and project
- 4 major sights to visit in Kathmandu + Entrance fees as well such as Kathmandu Durbar square , Pashupatinath, Buddhanath, and Sayambhunath (World heritage places)
- Accommodation and main meals during training period and placement
- One supervision visit by Real staff to placement and volunteer
- Two times phone calls in a week
- Administration and Government tax
- Chitwan National Park visit for 2 days (Elephant ride to see the one horn Rhinoceros and Royal Bengal Tiger, canoeing, Elephant breeding center, Tharu Cultural Dance, Tharu village, true Jungle walk etc. ) ( Food and drink not included for these 2 days)
- Good bye dinner with a Nepali gift + last day accommodation
4 weeks program cost - 499 Pounds
